Bhagwan Joe

Jose aka Freddy...don't ask.
No really, don't ask.  It's a long story.
Maybe when this is a pay site, I'll tell it.

Wow 9 views yesterday and 61 this month. I'm impressed.
Well, I'll update what I can for now. Thanks for visiting. BTW, I'm moving the blog to Google Blog and I'm making an effort to update that daily.

Music is life.
Life is music.

Here is the newest segment here at Bhagwan Joe Enterprises.  Hopefully after you read it, you'll say something like "Now THAT was entertaining!!" and not something like "Is he off his medication again?"  I call it:

THAT SONG THAT I CAN'T GET OUT OF MY MIND

Wow.  It has been a long time.  Well, KUFX has a 12 noon Thanksgiving tradition of playing Arlo Guthrie's anti-war anthem Alice's Restaurant.  It's a great song, a funny song and kind of a sad song when you think how relevant the song still is.  Also, since my last update, Chris de Burgh has kept busy.   He released The Road To Freedom, which was the first release on his new label, Ferryman Productions.  It included not only an album, but also a U.S. only DVD.  He also released The River Sessions, a late 70's live album and Live In Dortmund, recorded during a more recent tour.   Great stuff.

"Did you paint your smile on?  Well I said I knew that my reason for living was for loving you"

-I Need You To Turn To, Lyrics by Bernie Taupin, Music by Elton John

In our ongoing commitment to you, the free-loading consumer who's always looking for free web content, we here at BJE submit for your approval the following segment which occured to me early on Sunday morning--go figure.  Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

COMIC CENTRAL

Yes, here you will find all those comics which I have deemed worthy of not only my scanner but also my valuable hard drive space.  This week's submission comes from Pardon My Planet.  I guess everything is relative.  Or maybe it's just aging that causes our point of view to shift without our realizing it.  Check out our Morning Dreams section for more.

Yes this is new!

Welcome to

Bhagwan Joe's Book Club!!

Now, I know that this won't garner the excitement of Oprah's or even Charlie Manson's book club but...I'll give it a try and see how you like it.

------------------------------

I finished up Thud. Great book. My favorite aspect was definitely the Gooseberry, which was a handheld organizer which held an Imp (think of all the household appliances in the Flintstones). Vimes never got around to registering it so it would always address him as "Insert Name Here." I still want another story on the witches, on Rincewind the The Luggage!! I'm trying to catch up on my reading. I'm currently working on The Watchmen, a graphic novel. I'm also re-reading The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody. After that, I have Good Omens and The Man From Yesterday waiting for me. More Later.

FAQ CORNER
Here you will find explanations to frequently (only because that sounds better than seldomly...is that a word?) asked questions.  I can think of no better place to start than with the euphemism POMEGRANATE. Candace Murphy writes a musiccolumn and a food column for the San Jose Mercury News.  Back on August 29, 2000, she wrote a review for Ozzfest in San Jose.  You can find if at www.bayarea.com.  She explained that, as the Merc was (is) a family paper, she couldn't possibly give a fair review to the concert event because most of the bands' front men were so..."colorful" in his choice of words.  So she proposed to use the euphemism POMEGRANATE in place of any naughty word.  So...when quoting Tommy Lee, it read, "POMEGRANATE yeah!'' Lee shouted. ''What up mother POMEGRANATERS? Let me hear you POMEGRANATING screeeeeeaaaaam! Ah, POMEGRANATE! I see you mother POMEGRANATERS! I wanna see you mother POMEGRANATERS jump! Get your POMEGRANATING middle finger up and point it at someone sitting down!''  Hence, when your 'puter locks up for the fifth time in a row during an hourlong software download or you drop that hammer on your toe and the kiddies are close, it's better if you say something like, "POMEGRANATE piece of POMEGRANATE!"
