SOUND THE TRUMPETS AND LET LOOSE THE PIGEONS!!
It is time for...
UPDATE III: The Search For Content
Although new music is usually released on a Tuesday, the latest album to carry the Bhagwan Joe Enterprises
label could not wait that long.* "The Magik: Live At The Inn" is the title of the single released on Monday, May
12, 2003. It includes the holiday song, "Santa's Rockin' Down The Chimney Tonight" as well as a soundcheck of the group's
mega-cover-hit, Sweet Home Alabama. It was recorded during the whirlwind world tour, which included a sold-out
benefit concert at The Inn, located...somewhere in California...can't find my notes just now...on December 17, 2002.
*Okay, so, I had Monday off from work and not Tuesday. Hey, if YOU had a three day weekend offered
to you, would YOU turn it down?!? Yeah, I thought so.
UPDATE: Episode II
Well, while preparing the aforementioned Elton John Disc (s), we here at Bhagwan Joe Enterprises were
called upon to co-produce a CD Single with some very good friends from work, who took the name The Girls Of Morgan Hill as
their stage name. The assignment called for a parody which would emphasise summertime fun as well as mention a few products
and/or services here and there. Well, needless to say, it came out great!! This not only marked the second OFFICIAL
release by BJE but also was the first collaboration with Sir Dancealot Productions ( www.sirdancealot.net ...DOT NET...not dot com) out of San Jose, California. The song was a parody of Martha Reeves' Dancing In The
Street and was titled Down In Morgan Hill. Those interested in obtaining a copy should contact me here.

UPDATE!! We were ROBBED! Not only did we not win, we didn't even make the Top 20!! Bastards!!
Bhagwan Joe Anthology -- The Lost Tapes
Those of you familiar with Bhagwan Joe Mythology know that BJE has existed in one form or another since
the Straw Hat days around about 1985/1986. Recently, while going through the extensive BJE Archives (Okay, so I was
bored on vacation and was actually cleaning up...keep quiet), I happened upon some unreleased material. The ACTUAL tape
from the Bloom County-Billy & The Boingers song contest. We didn't win (looks like a trend, huh) but that's
okay. Turning yet again to my friend and colleague Sir Dancealot, he was able to transfer the music from
tape to CD for BJE. In the meantime, I made the CD labels, jewel cases insert, etc. I also found quite
a bit of material: song lyrics, reviews (Thyme Magazine) as well as a playbill from the Bhagwan Joe/Penetrator
14 city tour of the Balkans (Yea Estonia). I'll post it as soon as I get around to it.

ARCHIVES!!
Well, I tried to upload the artwork for the new CD but it wouldn't
go and I'm hungry and I've got a lot to do today. So, with that in mind, screw the artwork, here's our Thyme magazine
review from yesteryear.
BHAGWAN JOE AND THE BOYS
"The Wetback Tracks"
(Bhagwan Joe Enterprises: LP, Cassette, CD, 8 Track, Reel To Reel) ****+ (four stars plus!)
In their first album since their eponymous effort of last year, Bhagwan Joe And The Boys, without a doubt one of the
most influential post-post-post-hardcore groups of the 1980s, return with their latest release, The Wetback Tracks. Filled
with culturally purposeful belch-rock, the album screams boho brain throb with its use of fuse-blowing amps, guitar riff sawing,
and unholy power-tool leads. Influenced by Led Zeppelin and Phil Spector, the napalmin search-and-slaughter guitars and gorgeous
electronic textures finally explode into a shower of psuedomystical piffle. This band will leave you with more acoustic ghostpop
than anybody since the Flying Burrito Brothersor at least Hendrix.
